Oenological Tannin


High molecular weight condensed tannin, manufactured from tannins extracted from the skins of white grapes.


100% soluble in cold water and no rehydrating before.

TAN B is extracted mainly from Chardonnay grapes. It is a very sweet tannin, which enhances the fresh and fruity aromas of both white and red wines. It's reccomanded for each stage of aging and pre-bottling. Extracted with a solution of water and purified ethanol, from fresh raw material. After the alcohol recovery, the liquid is further diluted for purification in water.Finally, the concentrated product is atomised through specific plants

The strict hygienic and environmental control, to which the process is subjected and the non-use of chemical and biological products in extraction, make TAN B, a very natural product.


To prepare quality wines, a particular contribution is provided by the indispensable polyphenolic balance, that is the relationship between skin tannins, grape seed and anthocyanins. These components stop the formation of free radicals, also protecting the structure, wine color and aromas.


2 - 50 g/hl (76 – 1900 oz/1000 gal)

Dissolve one part TAN B into 10 parts water or wine, stirring continuously. Add the resulting solution to the wine or must during pumping over, using a Venturi tube or proportioning pump.

It is the customer's Liability to ensure that the use of tannin and the applied dosages comply with laws and regulations governing use in the finished product for which it is used.

Of course, the integrity of the product is guaranteed only if it is stored as indicated in this technical data sheet.

TAN B is GMO free and allergen free.

6. Packaging and storage conditions

1 kg (2,204 lb) and 10 kg (22,04 lb) plastic jar/sachet.

This product maintains its quality standards for a period of three years, provided it is kept at room temperature in a sealed package.

Storage in a refrigerated environment further extends the life of the product.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures exceeding 35°C (95°F), and/or to humidity and oxygen reduces its efficacy.
