In addition to milk and its derivatives, BIOTEC has introduced some on the market formulations useful for the anti-mold treatment on cheeses, in order to create an additional barrier of protection of the product, from attacks of mold and unwanted yeasts.


BIFOR1 is an active natural preservative made of natamycin. Its use protects the cheese from molds during the maturation process of the product. The use of natamycin is ideal in extra-hard and semi-hard cheeses (parmesan, grana, pecorino, fontina, provolone etc.) and the treatment with BIFOR1 takes place through immersion.
